The home will need to be vacant during the dry fog process, so plan a place for you and your pets to stay during the services (it won’t be overnight). A few days prior to your service, you will receive a message to confirm your appointment and give basic instructions on how to prepare your home. These are simple steps like opening closets, closing windows, etc.
Because we use dry fog, Breathe Pure Solutions has never had an issue with wall art, paintings, or electronics. Still, some people feel more comfortable taking expensive paintings down or covering them with a blanket. It’s up to you!
EverPURE has been FDA approved for food contact, but to retain the fresh taste of your produce you may want to place it in a zip lock bag or your refrigerator.
You will be back in your home the same day. Each job is different, but an average home takes around 3-4 hours — depending on the outdoor temperature and if windows can be opened afterward. You may notice a different smell when you return, but it’s harmless and will disappear quickly.
The chemicals we use are very strong, and can cause irritation to eyes, skin, and lungs if you are present while they are being used without personal protective equipment. By the time you return to your home or business, there is no danger to you or your pets. In fact, doctors refer their patients to us because the active ingredients in our InstaPURE process (hydrogen peroxide and paracetic acid) are on the EPA's Safer Choice listings. Our staff are professionally trained and always use PPE when handling the chemicals.
No. In fact, you want to keep as many of your belongings inside the house as possible during treatment. Mold spores get trapped inside fabrics, furniture, clothing, mattresses, etc., so all of those things should be treated as well.
Our patented technology creates a 7.5-micron sized particle. A mold spore is between 4 and 30 microns. So, wherever your average spore can fit, the fog particle will also fit. In special situations where there is a known issue behind a wall or in a ceiling, we can poke a few 1/8-inch holes between the studs to treat inside the wall or ceiling cavity.
Not at all. Our process leaves no visible or tangible residue, so your home and belongings will be clean. Just maintain your normal weekly cleaning to maintain a healthy, dust- and debris-free environment.
The stains that the mold has created won’t go away with our treatment. But we can clean them for you at a small additional cost. If you’d rather clean the stains yourself, there is no risk — everything will be safe to handle after treatment.
Our EverPURE process provides a verified protection for up to 90 days (3 months). However, if all moisture and water issues are resolved, this could be a permanent solution. If necessary, the products may be reapplied every 3 months for continued protection (we recommend this for high-traffic businesses) or if odors, mold, mildew, or staining appear again.
Please note that large or prolonged water intrusion events will overpower the antimicrobial and thus void any warranties.
Your technician will take an air sample after completing the treatment and send it to an independent third-party laboratory. We use an accredited mold lab that has no affiliation with any mold testing or mold remediation companies. About 3-4 business days after the treatment, you will receive the lab results via email.
In some situations, with especially sensitive occupants, we will include an additional culturable swab sample to test for viability of any mold in the settled dust.
They certainly do not like it and many customers report that it has, but the EPA has not approved it as a pesticide so we avoid making any claims about bugs.
